4th of July 2016

This 4th of July was pretty similar to many of the 4th of July's we have had in the past.  We started the day by Emma and I walking in the Murray City Parade with the Murray Silver Blades Figure Skating Club (didn't get any pics of that this year...)

Then we spent a lazy afternoon at home.  It was lovely.  We played some volleyball and a little Ticket to Ride.  

We headed over to Dan and Michelle's pool around 5 pm and the kids spent the next 4 hours in the pool.  They were a bunch of wrinkled prunes by the time we got home.

We had a fun time celebrating this little firecracker's 6th birthday.  I can't believe she's already 6. :)  Happy birthday Miss Penelope Jane!

We were going to maybe head over to Murray Park once we got home so that we could take in some fireworks, but by the time we got home, everyone was half asleep so we called it a night and just listened to the 2 hours of fireworks going off around our house.  :/
