4th of July 2015

What a lovely 4th of July weekend!  Poor Emma was exhausted after spending a week at the Oakcrest Girls Camp, but she still managed a smile or two.

We started the day by attending/participating in the city parade.  Emma's figure skating club always has a "float" in the parade and so we decided to pledge our support.  Emma rode on the trailer and I walked behind it.  My pedometer went wild.  It was a lot of walking, but it was fun.  Mark and the other two girls came to watch us and collect candy.  Josh went to Lagoon with his friends.

Little Miss Penny turned five on the the 4th as well so we were able to celebrate with her- princess style.  She wanted to have a princess party and Abbie and Ellie were more than happy to participate.  I think they were both dressed and ready about two hours before the party actually started.
We ended the night with a small fireworks show in front of Grandma and Grandpa Ogden's house.  We decided not to stay up too late because we had to get up early the next morning to drive about an hour and a half away to attend Mia's blessing.  (Mia is Ben and Marie's little cutie.  Ben is our nephew.)  She is adorable and it was fun to spend some time with Mark's family celebrating this wonderful occasion.
