While we were with the Fowlks family in Deer Valley, Josh had the opportunity to spend the week at the Zermatt Resort in Midway participating in the Lyceum Music Festival.
The Lyceum Youth Orchestras are based out of the American Heritage School and Josh has been wanting to attend one of their summer festivals. Unfortunately it worked out to be the same week that we were all together as a family, but fortunately he was still able to join us in the evenings when he was done rehearsing. He had a great time and the conductor of the philharmonic asked him why he wasn't in his orchestra all the time.
So guess which orchestra he is playing for this year?
It's going to be 3 times as busy as the Utah Youth Symphony, but it is a better orchestra and Josh really has felt right at home with them. I am excited for this new adventure that he gets to have this year and hope that his busy schedule won't be too crazy!
