Sassy, Sweet, and Six

It's hard to believe that 6 years ago, we were cuddling with this cute little early Christmas present...
(probably one of my favorite pictures of her, ever.)

I had always wanted to have a baby around Christmas and fortunately, Ellie cooperated with that plan.  She is such a good girl...always has been.  She really was THE perfect baby.  I always say that we ended with her because we wanted to end on a high note.  There could not have been a better baby/toddler.  And although she is still a really good girl, age has brought a fun thing called...Attitude and lots of whining.  I think it's the age.  If I remember right, the other kiddos went through a whining stage as well.  Geez, I still whine sometimes...who doesn't, right?

Anyway, back to this little cutie pie birthday girl.
Here she is, all ready to go to school in a new birthday outfit.

When I asked her what she wanted to take to her class for a birthday treat, she requested Santa cookies.
Thank you Kneaders for saving the day, and they were adorable.

Anyone who knows Ellie, knows that she is obsessed with donuts.  She loves them so much.
Anyone who knows me, knows my history with birthday cakes and so I was more than happy to purchase donuts instead of making a cake.  You can't argue with the birthday girl.

We began the day with opening presents and giving birthday spankings.  :)

Let's just say it was a very Barbie Birthday.

One bad thing about having a birthday in December is that it is a very busy month.  Because our daddy has a very busy church calling, he had meetings that night...but we were still able to cram in some fun...
Dinner from Panda Express, donuts and opening the rest of her presents...then playing with them of course.
It was a very fun day.
Six fun facts about Ellie...

1.  She absolutely loves Kindergarten.
2.  She has started taking piano lessons (from her mother).  She is really enjoying it and doing very well.
3.  She takes ballet and loves dancing with her older sisters.  We have watched many, many "shows"...they are always practicing for a "show."
4.  She is the comedy relief in our family.  She is always saying funny things and likes to tell jokes.
5.  The only meat Ellie eats is:  Arby's Roast Beef Sandwiches, chicken legs, and hot dogs.  Sometimes she will eat chicken nuggets or bologna...so in reality, not much "acutal" meat at all.  She is a carb-o-holic and loves any type of noodle, especially the mac and cheese variety.
6.  She likes to sing, but gets embarrassed if you catch her doing it. :)

Happy Birthday Miss Ellie Bellie!  We are so glad that you are the "caboose" of our family.  We don't know what we would do without you!
