A week full of changes

Ahh...the first day of school. It's a beautiful thing. These kids were so excited for school-okay Josh, not so much- but even he had a great first day.

I thought it would be fun to straighten Ellie's hair to see what it looked like. Well, she still looks adorable of course, but I think she looks like a mini grown-up. I like it better curly, but it was fun for a change!

So part of the big changes for this week include two very exciting & humbling new church callings for our family.
Mark was called to be on our Stake High Council which means that he may just get to sit with us once a month! Yay! He is very sad to leave the Bishopric. He has enjoyed his service in that calling and we have been so blessed as a family during the past 4 years. But he is excited for this new adventure- except for the speaking in church once a month. Not so excited about that, but he will be great.

The reason for the above picture and the other big change and calling in the family is that Mark's dad was called to be the 1st counselor in our new Stake Presidency. The poor man did not get a wink of sleep Saturday night so this is what he was doing after we had lunch on Sunday. :)
I love the picture below. Two amazing men who are such great examples of service and love. They will be great in their new callings, even if they are a little overwhelmed at the moment.
